To ensure your faux fur pet jacket stays in great condition, follow these general care and washing instructions:
Care and Washing Instructions:
1. Read the Label:
Always check the care label on the jacket for specific washing instructions.
2. Spot Clean When Possible:
Use a damp cloth with mild soap to clean small stains or dirt without washing the entire jacket.
3. Hand Wash:
• Fill a basin with lukewarm water.
• Add a small amount of gentle detergent suitable for delicates.
• Submerge the jacket and gently agitate the water to clean.
• Avoid scrubbing or wringing to prevent damage to the faux fur.
4. Machine Wash (if permitted):
• Use a delicate or gentle cycle with cold water.
• Place the jacket inside a laundry bag to protect it during the wash.
• Use a mild detergent. Avoid bleach or fabric softeners.
5. Drying:
• Air Dry Only: Lay the jacket flat on a clean towel to dry naturally. Avoid direct sunlight or high heat.
• Avoid Tumble Drying: High heat can damage faux fur.
6. Fluffing the Fur:
Once the jacket is dry, use a soft-bristle brush to gently fluff the faux fur and restore its texture.
7. Storage Tips:
• Store the jacket in a cool, dry place away from moisture and direct sunlight.
• Avoid folding the jacket for long periods to prevent creases in the fur.
Proper care will help maintain the quality and longevity of your pet’s faux fur jacket.
